How to... Thursday 27/09/2012

On Wednesday our group met up and managed to complete all of our work during the course of the day! I completed the interface for the iPhone App and was able to create a poster! We tried to make the app formal but appealing to the audience in which we were working towards. We decided as a group that we should stick with the colour scheme of the college sign, cream and red. We originally were working with blue but decided it was a bit informal for the type of app we were creating.

Below is the work of the students which were in my group!

I was really impressed with how fast we'd put the idea together!

How to.. Peer Feedback!

We joined up with another group and presented our work which we had complete at this stage, we then assessed how the other group were doing with these feedback sheets. It was really helpful, and it allowed for the other group to give us some tips on how we could improve our work.

How To.. Tuesday 25/09/2012

On Tuesday our group met up and we got cracking with our task. We decided upon a paper map and a mobile phone app which would provide help with navigation around the college. We sketched a few ideas out and took some photos for editing. We were basing our app navigation system along the similar principles as Google street view, where you can get a 360 degree angle of where you are stood, making it much more straight forward when trying to find your destination. With the deadline only a few days away I believe we are on track and should be ready to present on Friday.

How To... Monday 24/09/2012

On Monday the class was split into groups and set the task of coming up with 100 problems which were most likely to occur during our first few weeks of living in Leeds as a student, on the Graphic Design course at LCA. After collecting 100 problems we were then asked to pick 10 which we thought were most popular, we then picked 3 from that list and placed them into a box. At random we picked one, our team picked the challenge of 'How to find your way around LCA as a first year or guest?'

We were given a brief and had to go away in our groups and find out how we could solve the problem.. we have till Friday to complete the brief.
