OUGD404: Design Principles, Studio session

As a preperation for freds session we were asked to choose either a roman or gothic font with distinct light, regular and bold qualities, and type out the phrase 'who are you?' in four different point sizes.

I chose Gill Sans

During this session we learnt about type hierarchy and how people read differently when a word is bigger or smaller. We created different variations of the sentence using the different point sizes and the different weights. After doing this we had to vocally say each sentence putting emphasis on the large words to manipulate the question differently..
