OUGD504: Design for print, Survey research

So I sent a short survey out to the graphic design studio. I wanted to get an understanding of what printing techniques people used before coming to uni, as this would allow me to decided which methods I wanted to focus on. I also wanted to see if it would of been helpful for people to have a small understanding of print before coming onto a graphic design course.

Here are the results of the survey, unfortunately only ten people filled in my survey, but it still gave me positive results and something to work with.

So from my results I can see that a big percentage of people who studied at college/ 6th form tried a range of different printing techniques. Everyone said that information about print in college/6th form would of been helpful as a starter before coming to university. Screen printing seemed to crop up a lot  in the bottom section. The printing methods which are quite hands on and easy to do were the most common methods that were tried before coming to university.
